The thesis meets its goals by presenting solid mathematical theory of image registration (Ch. 2), applying it to phase correlation techniques (Ch. 3), and validating methods with MATLAB-based examples (Ch. 4). The work is logically structured and covers both theoretical and practical aspects of the problem. The text contains many inaccuracies, including sentences ending with a comma instead of a period and phrases taken out of context (e.g., Definition 2.2.6). This affects the clarity and professionalism of the thesis. Figures 2.1 - 2.4 are not properly linked to the text, nor is there a reference to Figure 3.1. The significance and connection of these figures to the main content remain unclear. The use of AI tools in generating visual elements, such as Figure 3.2, is not properly documented. Providing sources and methodology is essential for transparency and credibility. The main criticism of the evaluated thesis is therefore the virtually nonexistent original contribution by the author. Even basic examples in Section 2.2 (e.g., Examples 2.2.4 and 2.2.5) are taken from other works, although they are correctly cited. However, the thesis lacks original extensions or deeper analysis. Chapter 4, dedicated to the application of theoretical knowledge, only demonstrates basic image registration methods in MATLAB using built-in functions. The author developed a user interface for uploading two images and detecting scale and rotation changes, but no innovative approach to the problem is presented. The thesis has met the stated objectives. I recommend it for defence and evaluate it with a grade C/good.

This diploma thesis deals with phase-correlation method used for digital image alignment. This alignment method is the most used in practice and well proven. Therefore the diploma thesis assignment is rather easy. The work is a compilation of several sources especially mainly of diploma thesis cited as No. 8 which are correctly cited. The author's contribution to the topic is minimal. The logic structure of the work and graphic layout is decent. The work contains only low number of misprints and formatting errors. The English is acceptable. The important part of the work is a program implementing the described method. The program is functional and tested on sample images.
